SECOND'S NEW VISION & OUTREACH MINISTRIES
Second’s New Vision and Outreach Ministries was born to be the “outreach arm” of Second Missionary Baptist Church. It’s purpose from inception was to be the catalyst as a fiduciary entity that had financial oversight of “funds” for the outreach ministries. This entity served often as the incubation for outreach possibilities that enhanced the work of the church.
The purpose of the corporation is to help provide a safe, nurturing and economically strong community for the Washington Heights area.
The Mission of Second’s New Vision & Outreach Ministries (the CDC of Second Baptist) is to seek to enhance and nurture the economic, spiritual, cultural and social development of people of all ages, creeds and ethnic origins. The CDC will facilitate, coordinate, implement and network with agencies and entities whose focus is to foster an environment that improves the quality of life whereby families or individuals can thrive within the context of the community and the workplace.
